Now that I have had several days to gather my thoughts, the one thing that keeps sticking in my mind is that "no good deed goes unpunished". This is especially true for Stephanie. Stephanie has always been the first one to step up and offer her help and assistance to those that needed it. Stephanie is the victim of her own good deeds. Her love and kindness put her in a bad situation. It made her so happy to take care of Tyler and do things for him. Stephanie wanted to make sure that he had everything he needed and that he was well cared for. Tyler is not the only child that Stephanie has cared for and loved with her entire heart. There have been many children in Stephanie's life that she has loved dearly and was dearly loved by them in return. Stephanie has never expected a thank you or appreciation for her kindness, love, and care. She has always done things straight from her heart.
Yes, I know that I am biased. She is one of my best and closest friends. I would do anything for her and her family and she would do the same for me. But let me say this, if I had any doubt whatsoever about her innocence I would not be so outspoken about her case. I truly feel bad for the jury that had to sit on this case. I completely acknowledge that this was a difficult case. Any case would be difficult, but when it involves the death of a child it is even harder. After the outrage of the Casey Anthony verdict I can only imagine how difficult this was. The fact is though, that the evidence in Stephanie's case was really no different than the Casey Anthony case, completely circumstantial and based on speculation. There was no smoking gun, no weapon, no motive, no DNA, and no markings or wounds on her hands. The only reason that she was convicted was because she was the last person with him. Casey Anthony was the last known person with Caylee Anthony. That fact does not make you Guilty of murder. Accidents happen every day and expert or no expert, some neurological injuries can take many hours before symptoms manifest themselves. I think that there are a lot of unanswered questions about what happened in the courtroom and some of the testimony that was given both by expert and fact witnesses.
I will continue to defend Stephanie and help her in any way that I can. That is my repayment to a friend that has always been there for me and my family. I know with all of my heart and soul that she did not harm Tyler in any way. That is the absolute truth.
"Truth will always be truth, regardless of lack of understanding, disbelief or ignorance."
